It’s a busy month here at Glasse Witch Cottage! Lots of activities on the calendar, a fun new podcast interview, I’m turning 43 (!!), and a great festival in New York toward the end of the month. Let’s get into it:
New today! I was recently a guest on That Witch Life podcast and had such a blast talking to Courtney and Kanani. The episode dropped this morning, and my interview happens right around the half hour mark. We covered a LOT of ground along with all the laughter:
- Problematic authors and early texts, and how to read in an informed way
- The N@zi issue in Heathenry, and how to tell if a group or organization is practicing Inclusive Heathenry
- The Norse Goddess Freyja: who she is, what she does, what working with her is like, and where I see her touch on the world
- Sex in mythology
- Profanity-laced retellings of some of Freyja’s myths
- The Craft, the Witch Aesthetic, and the upside to witches in pop culture
- Getting more progressive as we age
- How I first connected with the Goddess Freyja – trigger warning here for a mention of spousal abuse
- Domestic abuse, why people stay, how they leave, and how abuse happens to “strong” people
It was an amazing conversation, and I hope you enjoy it too.
